Despite all of Obama’s campaign rhetoric and his claim that 95%
of all Americans under his presidency would be given a tax cut. All that has
happened over the first 52 days of his presidency leaves a stunning chill of the fact that he has not only secured unconscionable
debt and higher taxes for future generations, but, has assuredly burdened all Americans with increases in direct and indirect
taxes. The problem will worsen over the term of his presidency as he pursues his core goals of societal transformation and
wealth redistribution.
Barack Obama, with a silver tongue and a play on the worry of the American
people managed to pull of a brilliant steal of the tax issue by running right of John McCain and the Republicans. He even
posted a tax calculator on his web site to show worried people how much he was going to give us back.
Obama’s views on taxes are not a necessary evil, but, a moral
imperative. Fact is, the morality issue of higher taxes is central to Mr. Obama’s worldview, and winning the higher
tax argument hinges on selling and defending the moral imperative of taxation. Let’s take a closer look at how Obama
justifies his support of higher estate taxes:
When you’ve got an estate
tax debate that proposes a trillion dollars being taken out of social programs to go to a handful of folks who don’t
need and weren’t even asking for it, you know we need an injection of morality in our political debate.”
There were two events from the campaign that exposed Obama as a philosophical
tax advocate and the first exposing event occurred during the first primary debate moderated by ABC’s Charlie Gibson. Gibson challenged Obama on the premise that raising the capital gains tax would in
fact lower tax revenues for the government. Cornered, and in a stammering way, when caught off guard, Obama had to admit that,
for him, raising the capital gains tax rate wasn’t about raising tax revenue, but, “for
purposes of fairness.”
The second exposing event occurred during a chance encounter with “Joe
the plumber” – Sam “Joe” Wurzelbacher. Looking back on that chance encounter, “Joe” challenged
Obama’s views on his tax cut thesis. Obama’s response was one of implying that higher taxes are good for society.
“My attitude is that if the economy’s good for folks from the bottom up,
it’s going to be good for everybody. Then Obama stated. “I think when
you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody.”
Obama has levied his first tax to kick off the route for socialized healthcare by placing an unfair indirect tax
of $.70 per pack of cigarettes. Socialism has taken its first bold step in America. Keep your eyes and ears open,
Obama’s promise of higher direct taxes will be coming soon. Look for:
· Increase in the capital gains tax
from 15% to 28%
· Phase out of personal exemptions
for top earners
· Expect a 20% increase in the top
two tax brackets
· Look for up to 32% increase in the
top payroll tax rate
· Look for the Death Tax to be rolled
back to 45%
· Health insurance payroll tax on employers
· Look for a 25% increase in the corporate
tax rate
Also some other indirect taxes that will hit all of us:
· UN Global poverty tax
· The Carbon Tax
· Higher utility and gas prices from
the Green Energy Crisis
· The tax of raising the minimum wage
· A guaranteed government retirement
system
These are not all the taxes we will see coming our way, but, these will serve as indicators of happenings in an Obama
nation.
