Renewing Pennsylvania
2009 was supposed to be the year of change, remember? Change we could all believe in. Change has and is happening, change
that wasn’t what the majority of us expected. Turns out, 2009 will go into the books as broken promises. Things like
transparency, which has clouded even more. No special interests on board in this administration, in a pig’s eye. The
end of pork spending in the bills. Well they have actually gone up in 09 and both parties are guilty.
Bail outs, cap and trade, government run healthcare and green jobs are among
the growing list of items, if passed, will cost the average family thousands of dollars more a year and diminish the standard
of living for our upcoming generation and place international strangleholds over our constitution. One could write a book
on the changes that are about to challenge us with change you have no choice but to believe in now. Remember the statement
Obama made during his campaign, “Judge me by the people I surround myself with.” I will and
my vote beginning in 2010 will reflect that.
Just as government in Washington is corrupted to the marrow, turn your attention to Pennsylvania. How does it feel living
in the 4th most corrupt state in the nation? You don’t have to look far to see it either, Harrisburg is rolling
in it, Luzerne County is rife with it and Columbia County has it’s share also. Why in God’s name do people continue
to vote for the same old politics? Is it that hard to look at the records of people in office? Why has it become so hard for
honest people to run on Constitutional principles? Why is it that voters, either party, just can’t seem to grasp the
concept that government is leashed by us, not the other way around? Our tax and spend Governor of Pennsylvania, Ed Rendell, has brought the state within 3 years
of equal financial hardships now facing California. Are you ready to give up 10th Amendment sovereignty to the
federal government to get bailed out of a true financial crisis? Are you prepared to endure a decade or longer of high unemployment
and stopgap taxes that has to come from somewhere, most probably from your pay checks that will lower an already sagging standard
of living for a lot of Pennsylvanians? The things I speak of are only the tip of the iceberg of problems facing us. But, there
is a way to stop the madness, begin to reverse it, and RENEW Pennsylvania.
In 2010 vote for people who will pursue the following guidelines in this grassroots movement: ·
Restore the Culture of Ethics & Integrity in
Government · Remove
Roadblocks to Job Creation & Economic Recovery · Reduce Government Cost Through Disciplined Spending and Lower Taxes ·
Stabilize School Funding & Eliminate School Property
Taxes ·
Boost Student Performance by Expanding Choice &
Empowering Parents
We have allowed the Tax and Spend crowd their chance and all they have done is throw good
money after bad. It is time for Pennsylvanians to join the movement to Renew our state by electing people to office that will
get our state back to its Constitutional roots.
We begin by electing a Constitutional Governor for Pennsylvania, and there is such a person. Vote for and Elect Rep. Sam Rohrer
and Get Pennsylvania back to recovery. Go to http:// www.samrohrer.org and join the movement. Pennsylvania Can’t Afford another wasted Voting cycle. Robert RunyonThe Patriot's Voice

Common sense lost?
Wendy Lee has got it wrong again,
and those who think you can attain prosperity through taxation lives in a state of fantasy. Kind of like a person standing
in a bucket and trying to lift themselves up by the handles. Universal Healthcare, with or without Public Option is little
more than another “rob Peter to pay Paul” approach. Cap and Trade! How do you justify the cost of producing green
energy with today’s technology? All things being equal, you raise the price of cheap energy. Environmentalism- Who in
their right mind doesn’t want to live in a clean environment? However, cutting yourself off from your own sustainable
resources leaves you at the mercy of others.

On Thursday, September 24th , 4 of the 34
statewide citizen taxpayer groups under the banner of PCTA (Pennsylvania Coalition of Taxpayer Associations), Citizens
Against Property Taxes from Luzerne County; the Patriots' Voice of Columbia and Luzerne counties; Scranton and Lackawanna
County Taxpayers and Citizens Association, Inc.; and the Wyoming County Concerned Taxpayers sponsored a meeting bringing several
hundred people to Wyoming Valley West High School to hear about the School Property Tax Elimination Act for Pennsylvania.
Also in attendance were representatives of
the Ches-Lan Anti-School Tax association, from Lancaster County, Bill Kemner, John McCartney, Charles M. Buckley and Tim Cianci.
David R. Baldinger of the Pennsylvania Taxpayers Cyber Coalition, Berks County, and spokesperson for the statewide PCTA made
the presentation of the facts on HB1275, (School Property Tax Elimination Act, SPTEA), to an often cheering crowd.
WILK talk show host Sue Henry, who emceed, read a letter from a deputy sheriff who wrote of doing foreclosures and evictions,
"It's dirty, disgusting and shameful." Many people at
the meeting raised their hands when Henry asked how many people knew someone who lost a home because of taxes.
The following is an excerpt from the Citizen’s Voice. ‘..the only legislator from northeastern Pennsylvania to
co-sponsor HR1275 was State Rep. Karen Boback, R-Harveys Lake. After the meeting, when asked why she supported SPTEA, Boback replied, "I read the bill."
She read the bill! Why, what a novel idea. So what is your excuse Rep. David Millard?
Next year could be such a promising year, as people all across Pennsylvania
are rising up against the hollow promises of “relief” and “reform” and you may hear fellow taxpayers
opt for nothing less than ELIMINATION.
It is time to take the taxing authority out of the hands
of all Pennsylvania School Boards and put these people back into the business of educating our children, because proficiency
levels dictate the need, and out of the business of tax and spend.
A little over four years ago, 5 taxpayer
groups planned a meeting to join forces in the effort of eliminating property taxes in Pennsylvania. About a month later our
5 groups met in a meeting room in the Capitol Building in Harrisburg and forged an alliance under the name of Pennsylvania
Coalition of Taxpayer Associations, (PCTA) and representing around 2000 property owners across the state. Today we are 34
taxpayer groups and represent over 80,000 property owners across the state.
We are gaining a
voice in Harrisburg and in a year or two we may rival the voice of special interest, like the PSEA. Take note Wendy Lee, my
promise to you a few years ago may be in your future. We may be able to accomplish our goal of accountability of taxpayer
monies, like ending public funded guaranteed retirement. You may want to check into other retirement options like a 401k.
We may be able to bring enough pressure to end tenure, teacher strikes, Fair Share, and adopt
pay scale determined by performance. Remember when I said the taxpayers needed a lobby in the big burg? We’re close,
really close! Remember, NO TAX SHOULD HAVE THE POWER TO LEAVE YOU HOMLESS!

Founding Principle 21
Strong Local Self-government is the Keystone to Preserving Human Freedom
Thomas Jefferson – “The
way to have good and safe government is not to trust it all to one, but to divide it among the many, distributing to everyone
exactly the functions he is competent to [perform best], Let the national government be entrusted with the defense of the
nation, and its foreign and federal relations; The State governments with the civil rights, laws, police, and administration
of what concerns the State generally; the counties with the local concerns of the counties, and each ward [township] direct
the interests within itself…. What has destroyed liberty and the rights of man in every government which has existed
under the sun? The generalizing and concentrating all cares and powers into one body….”

Mayor Naive on nations political framework
This
letter is addressed to the Mayor of Bloomsburg, Dan Knorr.Reading from the PE 08/09/09, “Socialism: Is it ‘a dirty word’? I
find some of your comments disturbing. I did see you in the town park standing near a vendors stand, but I didn’t see
you walk through the crowd, and I don’t recall anyone saying you were a socialist. I know I wouldn’t say that
about you, as I don’t know you or about you well enough to make such a comment. I can only make judgments as I am exposed to more of your comments. So far I find
you very naïve on our nation’s political framework, but, in that, you’re not alone. Our economy is based
upon free market capitalism, in that you are correct. Our nation is not based upon “mob rule” Democracy, we are
based upon a Republic, ruled by written laws, not laws of the whims of men. Socialism is a prop and excuse ideology. There are four basic freedoms of a capitalistic free market; - The
FREEDOM to Try
The FREEDOM to Buy - The FREEDOM to Sell
- The FREEDOM to Fail
There is a role government has to play, four areas of legitimate responsibility
which properly belong to government. These involve the policing responsibilities of government to prevent:
1.
ILLEGAL FORCE in the market place to compel purchase
or sale of products.
2. FRAUD
in misrepresenting the quality, location, or ownership of the item being sold or bought
3. MONOPOLY which eliminates competition and results in restraint of trade.
4.
DEBAUCHERY of the social standards and moral fiber
of society by commercial exploitation of vice – pornography, obscenity, drugs, liquor, prostitution, or commercial gambling.
As a small insight as to what the Founding Fathers had
on the role of government, here is a quote from George Washington –
“Let vigorous measures be adopted; not to limit the prices of articles, for
this I believe is inconsistent with the very nature of things, and impracticable in itself, but to punish speculators, forestallers,
and extortioners, and above all sink the money by heavy taxes. To promote public and private economy; encourage manufacturers,
ect.”
Lets touch on the ‘GREAT SECRET’,
Public Schools, which are mandated by the constitution; however, the funding of public education was
not stipulated. Funding of public education in Pennsylvania actually sets up an unconstitutional condition in which two rights
are brought into conflict, “property rights” –vs- Right to an education. No tax should have the power to
leave you homeless.
Public transportation- totally not supported by the constitution.
Welfare programs
– Socialism 101 – prop – making people feel comfortable in their poverty. Taking away the incentive to succeed,
too many times we see welfare recipients adopting public funding as a life style.
Social Security – Progressive
Socialism – Extortion – was supposed to be a safety net for widows, orphans and the most poor, no one else was
supposed to be eligible- now mandated- forced participation- newborns are required to have a SS#. One of the worst investments
one could make, 2% return, forced contribution all your working years and if you die before you qualify for the benefit your
family gets a mere $250 dollar death benefit. Money paid into system cannot be passed on. “Sacred Cows?” To whom?
Mr. Knorr, in a few days I will receive a new shipment
of books, The 5000 Year Leap. I will make sure you get a copy. Please read it, then I’ll sit down with you and have
an honest discussion on socialism. Robert RunyonThe Patriot's Voice
